Man stabbed in row over cell phone

A 40-year-old man was stabbed in the lower abdomen yesterday over a cellular phone he was given to pawn.

Dexter Lawrence of 22 Guyhoc Park was treated at the Georgetown Hospital for his injury and he is said to be in a stable condition.

Reports are that yesterday Lawrence visited a cousin in Lodge and while there he had a confrontation with a man he knew. The misunderstanding came about over a cell phone that Lawrence had been given to sell for $4,000.

The man dealt him a stab to the right side of his abdomen and fled.

The police are hunting the attacker.
