Felonious wounding charge changed to murder

A man who allegedly wounded another man five months ago causing his death was yesterday refused bail by Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Winston Prince was not required to plead to the murder charge.

It is alleged that on August 6 at Manawarin Village, Moruca River he murdered Denis Joseph. Prince was originally charged with felonious wounding but Joseph succumbed to his injuries.

Prince will return to court on April 3.
