Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan on Tuesday remanded to prison two men accused of stealing a car and granted bail to a man accused of running off with a motorcycle when they appeared before him to answer to robbery charges.

According to the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court report Stanford Bailey, 26, of 3638 North Ruimveldt, and Seon Gilbert Bovell, 26, of 3077 North Ruimveldt, who were charged jointly, were not required to plead to the charge.

It is alleged that on January 13, at Georgetown, the men stole a $2M motorcar from Sandra Barker and Ewert Samuels. As he was being led to the chute Bailey told the court, “we were passengers in a taxi and the driver run away and leave we.” They were ordered to appear at Court 2 on February 12.

Also, Ron Robertson, 22, of Bachelor’s Adventure, was granted $150,000 bail when he appeared at court. Robertson is accused of stealing one Honda motorcycle from Terry Trotz on October 21 last year. The motorcycle is valued at $350,000. Robertson pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was ordered to appear at Court 5 on February 26.
