Police in Bartica discovered a snub nose Taurus over the weekend after they had found one in Georgetown early on Thursday morning.
The Police Public Relations Department in a release last evening stated that on Saturday the driver of a car was invited to the Bartica Police Station in relation to an allegation that he was being investigated.
An alert rank decided to conduct a search of the car and the .38 snub nose Taurus was found. The suspect is in custody and charges would be laid shortly.
A police report on Saturday stated that on Thursday at 2.30 am, acting on a tip off ranks recovered a .32 snub nose Taurus revolver and seven matching rounds of ammunition at a house in Georgetown. Three persons were said to be assisting police in their investigations.
