Human services ministry seeking social workers

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security is recruiting social workers countrywide in order to boost its services.

Human Services Minister Priya Manickchand said advertisements will soon be placed in the daily newspapers seeking suitably qualified persons, a Government Information Agency press release said.

Manickchand said that an adequate human resource component is essential to successfully carry out the ministry’s duties as it seeks to provide quality service to the public.

The ministry offers a range of services outside of its mandatory tasks. These include matrimonial services, counselling, adoption, financial assistance and it provides spectacles, prostheses and other items to persons.
