Residents of Huntley, Mahaicony yesterday discovered the body of 19-year-old Praboo Ramotar called ‘Suresh” of the same village floating in the river.

Police confirmed that they received the call from a resident who came across the body shortly after 8 am yesterday floating in the Mahaicony River.

The police source said too that relatives said they had not seen ‘Suresh’, who is a fisherman, since Sunday morning.

Foul play is so far not suspected, but a post-mortem is to be performed on the body today.

Police are continuing investigations.
