The Office of the President recently approved the appointments of ten persons as regional executive officers/clerks of the councils for all ten administrative regions.

Cabinet Secretary Dr Roger Luncheon yesterday said that the appointment of the officers will allow them to be designated accounting officers/heads of budget agencies which is the statutory classification of the regional administration as a branch of central government.

The persons appointed were Mary Williams; Sewahnand Meusai; Nandlall Ramkissoon; Shafdar Ali; Floyd France; Desmond Kissoon; Peter Ramotar; Ishwar Dass; Jagnarine Somwar; and Henry Rodney in Regions One to Ten respectively.
