Football stars of yesteryear in action today

Football stars of yesteryear will attempt to roll back the years when the Thomas United Masters Association stages a four-team invitational tournament at the Georgetown Football Club ground from 5pm today.

The two-day competition will see the hosts Thomas United, Pele, Santos and Georgetown Football Club battle it out for trophies and medals. Additionally, there will be prizes for individual players.

Among the former stars who will be on show will be Earl O’ Neil and Michael Pierre for Thomas United, Selwyn Bailey and Nicky Thompson for Santos, Trevor Gibbs and Marlon de Souza for GFC and Gordon Braithwaite and Terrence Archer for Pele.

The competition continues from 9am tomorrow.
