Former world champion Gairy “Superman” St. Clair is set to take on a Brazilian on the T.J. International Promotions boxing card scheduled for March 31, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

The fomer IBO/IBF junior lightweight champion will match up against Brazilian junior featherweight champion Jairo Moura.

Some six bouts are on the card which will feature St. Clair, Vicki Budram of Trinidad and Peter Macosky of Australia.

Boxing Promoter Kemran ‘Jimmy’ Ramnarayan told Stabroek Sport yesterday that St. Clair is currently receiving training in Australia under the supervision of veteran trainer Johnny Lewis.

Ramnarayan added that veteran promoter Keith Bazilio “with his excellent match making skills” has been instrumental in organizing the card.

Ramnarayan said that the card costs approximately G$10M and he is currently working on sponsorship. He added that both local and overseas sponsors have been very supportive.
