Gunmen last Friday afternoon robbed a Belgian diamond dealer outside the New Courtyard bar on Main Street of a bag of diamonds and some $350,000 in cash.

Police up to yesterday said that ranks were still trying to track down the suspects, noting that they got a description of the bandits.

Belgian, Krim Detoledo, 58, of Pike Street Kitty was about to enter the New Courtyard restaurant and bar when the robbers, who were apparently on his trail, drove up in a car and confronted him.

The robbers brandished a gun in front of the Belgian, while demanding that he hand over his cash and gold. Police said Detoledo surrendered the bag to the gunmen and also handed over the cash. The robbers then got into their Toyota 212 motorcar and escaped.
