Camptown’s inter-block tournament

Kitty `A’ and Campbellville `B’ will clash today in the opening encounter of the Camptown Football Club’s super-six round robin/knockout inter-block tournament. Kick-off time is 4pm at the Camptown ground.

The three teams in each group will play each other with the top two teams advancing to the knock-out stage.

Three points will be awarded for a win and one point for a draw.

Each match in the preliminary round will be of 70 minutes duration and there are no limits to substitutions.

A player can re-enter the field of play 15 minutes after being substituted.

Any team committing three fouls will have a direct free kick awarded against them from 25 metres out.

Cash incentives totaling $120,000 in addition to trophies and individual prizes will be up for grabs.

The top four teams will receive $60,000, $30,000, $20,000 and $10,000 respectively.

The competition will continue with another match tomorrow at the same venue.
