Shabeau seeks new face

Who will be the next Face of Shabeau? The Caribbean magazine is scouting for a face to grace its cover and be the official face of Shabeau for one year.

Shabeau which continues to attract new readers and is in its fourth year of publication recently launched the second annual Face of Shabeau Model Search Finals competition and will be in Guyana today screening hopefuls.

Models both male and female who think they have what Shabeau is looking for and are between the ages of 16-25 are encouraged to be at the Roraima Residence Inn, Bel Air, between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm.

Shabeau requests that the female models be at least 5 ft 8ins tall and the men no shorter than 6 ft; models are asked to walk with swimwear.

A press release from the magazine said the competition will be held from May 30 – June 3 and will feature 20 models – ten male and ten female – from ten Caribbean Countries vying for the title of the Face of Shabeau.

For the 2007 event, Shabeau said it has partnered with two of the leading casting agencies in the USA being Barrington Casting Company and Slamm Model Management. The lucky model will sign with Barrington and work also with Slamm.

Whoever is chosen as the next ‘Face of Shabeau’ not only gets a magazine cover recognition, the magazine will thrown in an inside feature and a photo shoot shot on location in Barbados.
