Lagaan on at Castellani House on Tuesday

Castellani House will screen actor-producer Aamir Khan’s Lagaan in its Classic Tuesdays programme.

According to a press release, Lagaan (Once upon a time in India) tells the story of a cricket match, which decides the fate of a poor Indian village. The film was short-listed for an award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2002 Academy Awards. It won 44 awards in India and at other film festivals. Lagaan is three hours, 45 minutes long so there will be an intermission during the screening. The public is invited to view this feature which is planned for Tuesday at 6 pm.
