Armed bandits rob Camp Site

Armed bandits on Sunday night robbed Banks DIH’s Camp Site Fast Food and Restaurant of an undisclosed amount of money, the police have reported.

According to a press statement by the police the suspects went to the facility at Camp Street and South Road, which was at the time closed to the public and held up a security guard and another employee who were both at the southern gate.

The bandits then ordered them back into the building to join other workers. Inside the bandits commanded everyone to lie on the floor and then proceeded to rob the supervisor of cash being counted at the time. They also ordered her to open a safe from which they stole more money and escaped. Police are investigating the robbery.
