The ‘B’ Division Com-munity Policing Committees are hosting a week of community outreach activities, including road safety lectures, to mark its ‘Awareness Week’ observances.

The Bush Lot Community Policing Group kicked off the activities by repainting the pedestrian crossing in the village on Sunday.

Chairman of the group Anand said the painting was done at the same time an inter-faith service was held at the New Amsterdam Central Police Station. Attendees at the service included Commander, Clinton Conway and other senior ranks and executives from the various groups.

Anand said the roster also includes slashing the grass at the Bush Lot Sports Club Ground and road safety lectures at schools.

The activities will close on Sunday with a family fun day at the ground, which would see competitions in cricket, dominoes, cycling and dancing.
