These workers are entitled to an increase

Dear Editor,

The workers at the Anna Regina Town Council cannot remember the last year they had an increase in wages and salaries and they are calling upon the Ministry of Local Government to address their problems as early as possible.

This town council was deemed the best for its performance by the former Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Cde Clinton Collymore, yet these workers are suffering for an increase in their wages. The GPSU is the sole bargining agent for these workers but no representation has been made on their behalf so they are left stranded while other workers in the private and public sectors are receiving increases.

The municipal workers of the Anna Regina Town Council deserve an increase for their hard work and dedication.

Yours faithfully,

Mohamed Khan (Former Deputy Mayor

ARTC)
