The Guyana Amateur Weightlifting Association (GAWA) will host the National Novices and Schoolboys Championships tomorrow at Club Blue Note, 200 Camp Street, Georgetown from 11:00hrs.

This is GAWA’s first championship for the year that will set the pace for other upcoming weightlifting events.

The competition is expected to attract weightlifters from all the counties and the divisions.

Some 15 lifters from three gyms each will be vying for top honours. Admission for adults is $100 but there’s no charge for children.
