Man, 53, remanded over carnal knowledge, buggery

A 53-year-old man appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday charged with carnal knowledge and buggery of an 11-year-old girl.

James Ayling of Manchester Village, Coren-tyne, Berbice, denied both allegations and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys.

He allegedly committed the offences on October 5 at Grove, East Bank Demerara.

The matter will continue at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on November 19.
