The Police Complaints Authority (PCA) says Chairman, Justice Cecil Kennard, will pay a two-day visit to the Essequibo Coast to address members of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) based in the area and to receive complaints from residents about errant officers.

In a press release, the PCA said Justice Kennard will be available from 1.30 pm on Friday to address GPF officers based in the area and to discuss with them matters which are of concern to him. The following day Justice Kennard will meet with citizens at 8.30 am to receive complaints against members of the GPF in the boardroom of the Regional Democratic Council at Anna Regina.

The release said the chairman had visited the area on several previous occasions and was satisfied with the response he received. It is expected that residents will take the opportunity to air their grievances and this data will assist in ensuring that members of the GPF make every effort to act in a professional manner at all times.
