GECOM says public should beware of impostors

The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) says it has not started house-to-house registration and any person purporting to be conducting same must be treated as an impostor and reported to the police.

In a press release GECOM said it has received reports that persons have been engaging Albouystown residents on the pretext that they are conducting the exercise and it cautions the public not to entertain them.

GECOM reiterated that the imminent registration exercise has not commenced as yet.
