The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) says the public should use the Deepavali celebrations to highlight peace and understanding.

In a press release the party also said the public should use the occasion to recognise that these values are common to all religions in Guyana, even as it extends greetings to Hindu devotees. The PNCR also said “Deepavali 2007 should find all of us in this nation in deep reflection and with a solemn resolve to bring our nation out of darkness and into the light.”
