What the people say?

John Limerick

The team is good at playing football but they are not scoring goals. The ‘Golden Jaguars’ are making no sense; in the last match they lacked ball control as opposed to the other team. Everybody wanted to score the ball – there was no sign of team play. In the previous match they performed even worse.

Terrence Benjamin

It was unfortunate that the ‘Golden Jaguars’ got knocked out because of goal differences but they performed reasonably well. For the longest while we haven’t produced a team that performed at such a high level, they did well.

Joel Leitch

I think they performed well, the game was entertaining and they made a lot of goals. It was a very good performance by Guyana’s team.

Eugene Wilson

The first game that they lost is what put them (‘Golden Jaguars’) in the pressure. The thing about the game is that you need to score goals. You can play all the play but if you not scoring goals you can’t win and that is what they did. They failed to score goals. It was the best football Guyana ever played, even better than Trinidad but they not getting goals.

Clevelyn Maynard

I think they could have done a bit better because they are very good. I’ve watched them play before and they have done well. All they need is a little more encouragement so that they can come out more often and they would get more persons to support them.
