Dear Editor,

I congratulate the management of Dave’s Television Station (DTV-8) in Berbice for once again providing live coverage of New Amsterdam town day 2007, which was held over the last weekend.

Over the years, DTV-8 has scored many firsts when it comes to broadcasting events live in the township and despite the fact that its efforts were hardly acknowledged by organisers of the various events, it has continued to demonstrate the true meaning of being a community oriented station.

The Rambarran family has been involved in business in N/A since 1947, at the time it was Dave’s Portrait Studio and through their hard work, they now have a well established television station that has been serving the Berbice community for close to 14 years.

Mr Editor, I think that the management of DTV-8 has done enough over the years to earn the respect of the community through its ‘ healthy ‘ programmes and community service that its courteous employees help to promote.

Keep it up DTV-8, your service to the community is well appreciated by those who understand your motto ‘Television for the entire family’ Best wishes for future events.

Yours faithfully,

S A Peters
