City Hall’s problems can be corrected with proper management

Dear Editor,

Having read the advertisement in SN d/d 2006/12/28, by the Mayor of Georgetown Mr. Hamilton Green, pertaining to the mismanagement and other problems at City Hall I do believe that many of these problems can be corrected if indeed there is proper management of the resources available to the council.

While the Mayor went to some length to bring out the faults and other problems of officers within the council he did not let the public know that he was responsible for employing a large number of House of Israel followers and the creation of a warden section which was not a necessity for the council. The creation of this section has indeed put an additional burden on the already cash strapped council’s coffers.

Let us be realistic, Mr. Mayor, the Council is overstaffed.

Yours faithfully,

Garfield Boston
