Perverse action by police at Grove

Dear Editor,

In the Grove/Diamond new housing scheme a new police station exists. Within the last ten days, an allegation was made against a man from the housing scheme.

The police went to his home while he was at work and left a message for him to report to the station, which he did the following day.

At the station, the virtual complainant, in the presence of the police and the accused, disclosed that this was the wrong man.

The police still put the man in the lock ups and requested $5,000 bail, which his family had to borrow.

Mr Commissioner, we don’t need this type of policemen in our scheme. They are going to create criminals.

Yours faithfully,

P. Jones
