Dear Editor,

Can GPL provide clear statements on what its financial position is likely to be in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and 3 years’ time if the price of oil hovers around the US$100 per barrel mark for the next three years. Then Guyanese could decide whether we should put in hot water and air-conditioning and other electrical appliances.

Once people understand the status of GPL because of high oil prices they will understand that if we do not conserve energy now it will end up costing us billions of dollars.
