GFA Cell Link Plus Premier League….

Camptown Football Club produced a stunning upset over Premier League powerhouse Fruta Conquerors in a GFA Cellink Premier League match on Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground.

Orlando Gilgeous gave Camptown the lead in the seventh minute but Fruta Conquerors equalized through Lance Royston in the 40th minute.

Fruta Conquerors continued their attack and Sherwin Scott scored early in the second half.

Camptown, however, continued to fight and Troy Prescott scored the equaliser in the 55th minute and Dexter Mollyneaux the winning goal in the 83rd.

In the second game Pele and Alpha United played to a draw.

Alpha led through a 41st minute goal from Elton Browne while Pele managed to keep their unbeaten record intact when Quincy Hemerding equalized in the dying stages of the match.

In the first game of the day, Western Tigers buried Ann’s Grove in a 4-0 blowout in the GFA Supligen round robin knock-out competition.

Manasseh Primo scored in the 20th minute while Odel Nelson scored 10 minutes later while two more second half goals from Herbert Pedro in the 49th and Jordel Tyrell in the 50th minutes completed the rout.

Alpha United are on top in the points standings with 16 points with Pele in second place with 15 points.

Third place is occupied by Fruta Conquerors with 14 points while Camptown are in fourth position.
