Ian Gouveia with a 16 handicap a gross 85 and net 69 won last weekend’s Guyoil sponsored Medal Play golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf course.

He won from a field of 24 golfers beating into second position Roger Rajkumar with a handicap 15, gross 85 and net 70 while the third position went to national women’s champion Christine Sukhram with handicap 6, gross 79 and net 73.Rajkumar was also closest to the pin.

The golfers will be in for a packed weekend of golf starting on Saturday with the New GPC sponsored tournament.

There will be the usual Shotgun start at 12:30 hours.

New GPC Inc. Chairman Dr, Ramsaroop is expected to be on hand to present the prizes at the end of the tournament.

On Sunday at least 50 golfers are down to participate in the Annual fund-raising Greensome tournament and Bar-B-Que starting at 09:00 hours.

The Lusignan Course is in excellent shape and competition is expected to be keen.
