A match winning unbeaten knock of 64 runs by Basil Bedessie piloted Demerara Power Company (DPC) to a convincing nine-wicket win over Neal and Massy Group in their feature 25-over softball cricket match played Monday evening at Thirst Park.

Man-of-the-match Bedessie scored three massive sixes and four fours in his inning as his team rattled up 117 for one in 13.3 overs in reply to 116 made by Neal and Massy.

Troy Lewis supported with 23 as DPC dominated their opponents.

Batting first, Neal and Massy found the going tough and were bundled out for 116 off 16 overs with captain Patrice Stewart top scoring with 23.

The top bowlers for DPC were Arnold Fraser, Clarence Hodge and Desmond Gildharie with two wickets each.

The winning DPC side and Bedessie received trophies donated by the Trophy Stall of Bourda Market.
