Ann’s Grove triumphs

Ann’s Grove, led by a double from Orlando Otto, defeated Uprising 3-0 in a Group `A’ match of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Supligen U-20 football match at the Camptown ground on Saturday.

In another Group ‘A’ match over at the Tucville ground, Alpha United edged out previously unbeaten Western Tigers 2-1, while Fruta Conquerors scored a hard-fought 1-0 victory over ‘Pele in a Group ‘B’ match with a goal from Franklyn Beresford in the 50th minute.

Otto, who scored in the first minute of play completed his double 12 minutes into the second half while Carlos Adams scored the third goal.

Yohance Roberts in the 33rd minute accounted for Alpha’s opening goal with Peter Briggs firing in the winning goal after Hubert Pedro had equalized for Western Tigers with a 46th minute strike.
