The Kashif and Shanghai organization on Tuesday received the sum of $500,000 from Bosai Mineral Group Guyana Inc., while the organization in a reciprocal gesture donated 3000 tickets to the District Education Department in Region 10 as the date for the commencement of the tournament approaches.
General Manager of BOSAI Stephen Ma handed over the donation to Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major at the company’s office.
The sum represents a $200,00 cash donation while the company will pick up the tab for meals and transportation to the tune of $300,000.
BOSAI’s Personnel and Industrial Relations Manager Peter Benny, said that this was the second year the company had consented to assisting with sponsorship for the tournament, while Kashif Muhammad in brief remarks thanked the company for their support.
Meanwhile the Kashif and Shanghai organization has decided to donate 3000 tickets to schoolchildren from the Linden community to participate in the opening ceremony.
Making the donation was Major who handed over the tickets to representatives of the District Education department of Region 10.
