‘How you like yuh TV?’ Answer this question today when a new local programme, which explores Guyanese and Caribbean customs and traditions, premieres on television this afternoon.

The programme, ‘How you like yuh’, out of the When Las Movement, will be aired today on NCN Channel 11 from 5 pm for one hour.

According to a release, from the When Las Movement, Guyanese will be confronted with an array of questions such as: “What fuh you does mek nice Guyanese breakfast? How you like yuh cook-up rice- dry, wet and with nuff obstacles? How you like spending a Sunday afternoon? Wha’ is yuh favourite curry and do you believe dat if it ain’t hot then it can’t be curry?”

The release said the programme is aimed at providing a lively and informative view of Guyanese and Caribbean cuisine and style by exploring the customs and attitudes that are inherent in the way we dine and dress and to reconnect viewers with aspects of their cultural traditions. The movement hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the cultural education of the young and to help further the interests of the food, beverage, entertainment and tourism industries.

The programme will take the form of two weekly five-minute episodes on Wednesdays and Fridays on the NCN Morning Show, which will look at a given recipe or custom. Additionally, there will be a monthly half-hour special.

The programme is sponsored by GT&T, Western Union Money Transfer, Sterling Products Ltd, Lifetime Real Estate, Juice Power/Water World and Don Gomes Optical.
