Corentyne accident victim succumbs

The motorcyclist who had to be rushed to Georgetown from the Fort Wellington Hospital nearly two weeks ago succumbed on New Year’s morning in the Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Hospital sources informed Stabroek News that Munesh Suhkram of Number 71 Village, Corentyne never regained consciousness and subsequently died.

Sukhram had to be transferred to the city institution because of the nature of his injuries.

However, reports about how the man ended up in the accident are still sketchy since some reports have said that he was the victim of a hit and run while others said he crashed head-on into a concrete culvert.

He was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital, then later transferred to the Fort Wellington hospital and then to the city.
