Minister of Amerindian Affairs Carolyn Rodrigues has been assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister and Transport Minister Robeson Benn is holding the portfolio of Public Works and Communication while Prime Minister (PM) Samuel Hinds is overseas.

A press release from the Government Information Agency said President Bharrat Jagdeo made these interim arrangements on December 20, in keeping with Article 109 of the Constitution, until the PM’s scheduled January 13 return. Hinds holds the portfolio for both offices.
