Girl stabbed by relative

An 18-year-old girl is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) nursing a knife wound to her neck which she sustained at the hands of a relative.

Stabroek News understands that the relative is now in police custody and is expected to be charged shortly. The attack with the knife was not meant for the girl but rather for her mother.

According to reports from the hospital Kaiandra Jones of South Sophia, Turkeyen, was at an oldies dance with her parents at the Ocean View Hotel when the incident occurred.
