Two wounded in separate stabbing incidents

Two persons who were seriously wounded in separate stabbing incidents outside the city yesterday morning are currently nursing injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

In the first incident, Redwin Europe of Wales, West Bank Demerara was stabbed during a domestic row. Reports are that Europe, 38, was involved in a heated dispute with a female with whom he has children. During the row, she allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed him in the left side of his chest.

Europe was rushed to the public hospital and underwent surgery. He was later admitted and is said to be in stable condition. The police are investigating.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Anand Karapaul of La Bonne Intention was rushed to the hospital nursing a stab wound in his abdomen. He was reportedly stabbed during a dispute with someone known to him. He too underwent surgery and was admitted.
