Man stabbed in rum shop row

A 57-year-old man, who was stabbed in the neck while drinking at a shop on Sunday, is currently nursing injuries at the city hospital.

In a press release yesterday, the Georgetown Public Hospital said Tusilall Rambaran, of Farm Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara, was taken to the Accident and Emergency Unit around 2 pm with a stab wound to the left side neck.

According to reports, Rambaran was involved in an argument with another man at a drinking place on Camp Street, and he was subsequently stabbed.

He was admitted to the male medical ward.
