Body of man found at Letter T

The body of an unidentified man of East Indian descent bearing suspected marks of violence was found among some bushes alongside the public road at Letter T Village, East Coast Demerara.

Police acting on information went to the area around 11:30 am yesterday and made the discovery. The man’s body bore suspected marks of violence to the head and other areas of his body.

He appears to be about 45 or 50 years of age, is fair in complexion and about 5’7″ in height and was wearing a pair of blue jeans, a blue and white t-shirt marked with the number 28 and a pair of red and white Air Force Nike boots, according to police reports.

Persons with information which may lead to the identification of the deceased are asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-6978, 225-3650 or 221-2296 or the nearest police station.
