NBS makes monetary donations in NA

A number of religious and other non-governmental organizations, including churches and orphanages in Berbice, recently benefited from monetary donations from the New Building Society (NBS) branch on New Street, New Amsterdam.

Senior Branch Manager, Anil Beharry told the recipients that the donation is part of the strategy of NBS to give back to the community as a “corporate citizen.”

Beharry said NBS has also been contributing to sports and other organizations in various parts of the country.

At the simple handing over ceremony, he noted that it was “fitting to help out these kinds of organizations which help to make the lives of unfortunate persons better.”

The recipients expressed gratitude to Beharry and the NBS for remembering them and gave the assurance that the donations would go a long way in helping them with their various programmes.
