A 25-year-old man who allegedly committed murder was yesterday remanded to prison when he was taken before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Durwin Wright, called ‘Rock Away’, of Vigilance South, East Coast Demerara was not required to plead to the capital charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.

It is alleged that on August 30, 2007 Wright murdered Kumar Singh, also known as ‘Mango Man’ at Cove and John.

The matter was transferred to the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court for February 27.
