Salt and Pepper damaged by fire

The Salt and Pepper Restaurant on Robb Street ceased operations yesterday morning following a small fire which is suspected to have started in the building’s attic.

When this newspaper visited the scene shortly after 7 am yesterday ranks of the Fire Service had already quelled the small fire.

However, both of the business’s upper and lower floor kitchens suffered extensive damage along with the building’s roof.

An employee of the business said that there wasn’t anyone available to make a comment and the extent and value of the damage had not yet been estimated.
