More than three weeks have passed since Alpha Hotel owner Roselain Hall was last seen or heard from.
Hall was last seen in the company of her ex-husband, Alex Barker, for whom the police have since issued an arrest warrant.
The woman’s current husband, Romeo Rockefeller, who had been arrested, has since been released from police custody and a police source said they have been able to ascertain that the man was indeed not in the country at the time of the woman’s disappearance.
The man had travelled overseas on a false travel document. He has since been placed before the courts and charged accordingly.
Asked about hopes of finding the woman, the police source said, “It’s a dim picture, but we continue investigations and would follow leads as they come in.”
The source said the police have also been able to ascertain that the woman’s family has not heard from her.
Hall was last seen leaving a hairdressing salon three Wednesdays ago. Her ex-husband, who was also her chauffeur, picked her up and she went back to her hotel where she collected $22,000 from the cashier and left with the man, her husband had told this newspaper.
Meanwhile, Hall’s mother, Joyce Hall Mc Pherson told this newspaper last week that someone who was close to her daughter should be made to answer for her whereabouts. The woman said she was devastated to learn of her daughter’s disappearance, but hoped she would be found.
