The two men being questioned in the murder of a 59-year-old man at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara remain in police custody while a post-mortem examination performed on the dead man’s body yesterday showed that he had suffered multiple injuries to the head.

The decomposing body of Walter Dorsett was found in his home on Saturday even as a close relative, who has since been detained, reportedly stayed in the home with the body. Another relative, who was in custody at the time of the discovery, is also being questioned.

Reports say that Dorsett was killed some time last Wednesday. His body was discovered when other relatives visited the home and became suspicious after noticing a foul odour. The police were notified and went to the home and discovered the body. Dorsett was buried yesterday.
