The Mayor and City Council (M&CC) is to conduct an exercise to verify the physical state of buildings on Regent Street.

This pilot exercise will be conducted over a five-day period and is intended to ensure that the council has the appropriate details of all properties within its system in order “to provide adequate services and collect revenue,” an M&CC press release said.

It stated further that the project will be engaging property owners of all local communities in the city.

An evaluation of the activity will be done to see if the exercise met its objectives.

The council also appealed to all property owners in the designated areas to co-operate and support this effort.
