Ranks of a Joint Services patrol operating in the Mazaruni area conducted a search on a shop around noon on Wednesday and discovered two firearms, one of which was wrapped in plastic and buried.

Two men have been arrested in relation to the find and are in police custody assisting with investigations.

Meanwhile, police have received a report of a shooting incident in the Aranka/Aurora area at Cuyuni/Mazaruni but much information is not available……
