Cabinet has agreed to Guyana’s accession to the United Nations(UN) Conven-tion against corruption and to the protocol of the UN Con-vention against trans-national organised crime, specifically that no migrants be smuggled by land, sea and air.

“The protocol against smuggling of migrants by land, sea and air requires state partners to prevent and combat trafficking in persons, to protect and assist victims of trafficking and to promote cooperation among states in order for us to meet those objectives,” Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary, Dr Roger Luncheon said on Wednesday……
