A 28-year-old woman last week appeared in the Bartica Magistrate’s Court charged with the March 11 murder of a bartender.

Rebecca Antoine, who appeared before Magistrate Fazil Azeez, was not required to plead to the indictable charge. It is alleged that on March 11, in the Warudi backdam, Cuyuni, Essequibo, she murdered Mark Wilson called ‘Markie’.

Antoine was unrepresented and was remanded to prison. She will return to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on May 13 for submission of reports……
