President of the Guyana Teachers Union (GTU) Colwyn King yesterday attended court for his assault and unlawful wounding cases after Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys on Thursday threatened to issue an arrest warrant for him if he didn’t appear.
Thursday was the second time in a row that King had been absent from the proceedings and Magistrate Gilhuys was annoyed when attorney-at-law Jaya Manickchand told him that King was in the North West and could not make it to court. …..
