The Women’s Progressive Organisation says the appointment of ministers Carolyn Rodrigues and Pauline Sukhai reflects the PPP/C’s efforts to increase the participation of women in decision-making at all levels in the country.

In a press release the WPO said Rodrigues is the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Guyana. Also, Sukhai’s appointment as Amerindian Affairs minister also reflects the government’s confidence in women. …..
