Richard Ishmael beats Saints

GBTI says Richard Ishmael Secondary School emerged winners when it went up against St Stanislaus Secon-dary at the Inter-Secondary School Impromptu Speech competition for fourth formers held on Tuesday.

According to a press release from the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI) the winners scored 340 points while Saints scored 326.  Richard Ishmael pulled the topics ‘Is there something as a generation gap?’; ‘What animal characteristics do you admire?’ and ‘What should be done about the state of West Indies Cricket?’ Saints’ topics were ‘Seeing is believing’, ‘Should there be more agricultural education in Guy-ana?’ and ‘Manners maketh man.’ The judges’ panel comprised Geoffrey Smith, Magda Pollard and Abiola Innis. …..
